Cyclehound.com does not sell or disclose user or member information, unless obligated by law to do so or in the good faith belief that preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: protect the rights, property and/or safety of Cyclehound.com users and members; comply with legal process; respond to claims of unauthorized postings of third party information. Cyclehound.com collects and retains a minimum amount of information required to facilitate a user membership account. Cyclehound.com does NOT collect or retain credit card information on its database. Payments made to CycleHound.com via credit card are processed and retained through a merchant payment process provider via Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL) for Cyclehound.com.

 

If you elect to use PayPal or escrow.com, you authorize Cyclehound.com to transmit some of your member information in order to facilitate your transaction with those institutions. Any information transmitted will be done via Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL) to secure your information.

 

Cyclehound.com is an online bulletin board and/or forum for the use of its members to network among other members to advertise, buy, sell and trade motorcycles, snowmobiles, all terrain vehicles and items related to their recreation and use. Cyclehound.com is NOT responsible for the content posted by the users and/or members of this website and does not guarantee the authenticity of said content or links to content on other websites.

 

Ads for items relevant to motorcycling, snowmobiling, and ATV's are allowed. Irrelevant ads are NOT allowed and will be flagged and removed. Multiple violations of this rule may result in membership revocation and banishment.

General ads or postings for motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATV's, parts, accessories or qualified other items are FREE.

 

Featured ad fees are assessed to members who elect to make their ad a "Featured Ad".  Featured ads are ads that receive higher ranking or priority in search results listings. Featured ads are also randomly selected to be highlighted in the Home page and Buy page for each respective categories.

 

Fees are based on a PER ITEM basis and are required to be paid prior to the ad being actively posted. Fee based ads found to be renewed for multiple sales of similar items or referencing other items for sale will be deleted and no refund will be available. Violating members may be banned from Cyclehound.com.

 

Once a fee-based ad has been ACTIVELY POSTED, all sales are final. NO REFUNDS. If a paid ad does NOT actively post, then a refund may be made available.

 

Ads post immediately upon member confirmation of ad content. 

 

Fee-based ads are immediately posted upon member confirmation of ad content AND confirmed payment. If a payment confirmation for an ad fails, for whatever reason, the ad will NOT be posted. You will need to contact your credit card company or PayPal to resolve the failed payment.

 

All ads are posted on a “UNTIL SOLD” basis. HOWEVER, all ads AUTOMATICALLY  EXPIRE every 30 days from the original positing date or the latest renewal date, UNLESS they are ACTIVELY RENEWED by the member posting the ad. A reminder notice will be sent via email, prior to the ad expiration, to the posting members email address listed on his/her member profile. It is the posting member’s responsibility to renew the ad every 30 days. Cyclehound.com is NOT responsible for ads that expire due to a member’s failure to renew the ad. If an advertised item fails to sell after 90 days, Cyclehound.com recommends reducing the asking price or modifying the ad. Read the Tips page for selling tips.

 

Members can edit or delete an active ad via his/her “MY STUFF” page.

 

FRAUD, SCAMS, LUDENESS, VULGARITY, OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE OR IMAGES, COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT, ETC. will NOT be tolerated.

 

Cyclehound.com expects all users and members to be truthful, honest, respectful, and law abiding individuals and to treat other users and members as they would want to be treated. In other words, don’t be jerk and try to lie, cheat and/or steal anything from anyone.

 

By using Cyclehound.com you AGREE to:

NOT post ads for items that are not relevant to motorcycling, snowmobiling and ATV riding or that are not related items; NOT post multiple ads for the same item that are already being actively advertised; NOT post pornographic images; NOT impersonate any other person or entity; NOT post false or misleading information; NOT infringe on patents, trademarks, copyrights or any other proprietary rights of any party that you do not have legal right; NOT post content that contains or constitutes “spam”, “junk mail”, computer viruses, spyware, links or commercial advertising; NOT advertise or sell items to which you do not have legal right; NOT contact or harass anyone who asked not to be contacted; NOT use automated means to download data from Cyclehound.com and its database (ie; no data mining tools, crawlers, spiders, robots, etc.); NOT post irrelevant content; NOT repeatedly post the same content or similar content to directly or indirectly overload Cyclehound.com’s database; NOT attempt to gain unauthorized access to Cyclehound.com’s computer system; NOT post negative feedback about other members in a malicious manner; NOT harass, threaten or intimidate other members. Can’t we all just get along and play nice?

 

Cyclehound.com reserves the right to add, change or remove any content posted to the website for any reason (mostly to remove inappropriate or illegal content). Any paid ads placed on Cyclehound.com that are removed due to violations of the user agreement will NOT be eligible for any refund.

 

Cyclehound.com expects all members to help police inappropriate and/or illegal activity on this website by notifying Cyclehound.com via the feedback and/or “Watch Dog” link to report and remove inappropriate content. Example, if you encounter an ad with a naked picture of a great grandma on a Harley…FLAG it, so we can remove it. However, PLEASE make sure that it is not just some shirtless, long haired, fat guy on his bike. Use some common sense. We do not wish to offend the shirtless, long haired, fat guy flashing his man-boobs either. Thanks.

 

Cyclehound.com reserves the right to refuse or disallow membership and/or usage of this website for any reason (mostly to remove scamming jerks). Cyclehound.com expects all users and/or members to notify Cyclehound.com of suspicious activity. Example, if you encounter an individual that attempts to send you a “cashier’s check” for $10,000.00 for your $3000.00 bike and instructs you to use the balance to pay for shipping and asks for the change back. DO NOT do it. Instead, REPORT them via feedback and/or “Watch Dog” link to Cyclehound.com so we can remove those SCAMMERS. READ the Tips page for advice on reporting and avoiding scams.

 

You AGREE that Cyclehound.com, in its own discretion, has the right (but not the obligation) to delete or deactivate your membership account or posting, block your email or IP address, or otherwise terminate your access to or use of the Cyclehound.com website or service, immediately and without notice, and remove and discard any content within the website or database for any reason.

 

Cyclehound.com does not guarantee the services provided by other organizations referred by Cyclehound.com. Services provided by those organizations are the responsibility of the respective organizations.

 

Cyclehound.com is NOT responsible or liable for any loss or damage due to users and/or members who have been victims of fraud or illegal activity. Sorry, but all users must BEWARE there are unscrupulous people (jerks) out there trying to steal from all of us. Some are very good at it. Please notify Cyclehound.com, if you are the victim of fraud and/or theft so we can remove the offending member from the website. Again, PLEASE use common sense. DO NOT report a member because you feel you paid too much for an item you purchased or you feel the item was not exactly as described or expected. Use the member feedback forum to resolve those disputes.

 

Furthermore, Cyclehound.com is under no obligation to become involved in any such disputes. In the event that you have a dispute with one or more other users, you hereby release Cyclehound.com, its officers, employees, agents, and successors in rights from claims, demands and damages of any kind. 

 

Under NO circumstances shall Cyclehound.com, its owners, employees or agents be liable for damages resulting from any aspect of your use of Cyclehound.com.

 

You agree to indemnify and hold Cyclehound.com, its owners, employees or agents, harmless from any claim or demand, including attorney fees and court costs, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post, or make available through Cyclehound.com or through the use of the Cyclehound.com website.

 

You AGREE that use of the Cyclehound.com website and service is ENTIRELY at YOUR OWN RISK. Cyclehound.com and its services provided are provided on an “as is” or “as available” basis, without any warranties of any kind. We will do the best we can, but we can’t control everything.

 

Any violations of the user agreement that constitute an unlawful or illegal act will be pursued under penalty of law at the discretion of Cyclehound.com, its owners and/or agents.
